Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive DevOps / SRE Engineer with 3 to 6 years of experience to help manage, automate, and optimize our AWS cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will work closely with application development teams to build reliable CI/CD pipelines, containerize microservices, and ensure high availability across our production systems. You will play a key role in driving Infrastructure as Code (IaC), establishing proactive system observability, and enforcing security and cost optimization practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Infrastructure & Orchestration: Deploy, manage, and scale AWS cloud infrastructure using services such as EKS, ECS, API Gateway, and serverless architectures.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate end-to-end cloud provisioning, configuration, and environment management using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and Packer.
- CI/CD Pipeline Management: Build, maintain, and optimize continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines to streamline software delivery cycles.
- Monitoring, Alerting & Reliability: Maintain proactive system observability and performance monitoring using CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana to optimize uptime and system health.
- Developer Collaboration & Support: Partner with development teams to integrate containerized microservices and rapidly troubleshoot build, deployment, or infrastructure bottlenecks.
- Security & Optimization: Implement DevSecOps best practices, baseline security controls, and resource utilization strategies to optimize AWS cloud spending.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate technical documentation for system architecture, deployment processes, and standard operational workflows.
Required Technical & Professional Skills
- Cloud Experience: 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience building and managing secure, scalable cloud solutions in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Containers & Orchestration: Hands-on experience with containerized workloads using Docker, Amazon EKS, ECS, and microservices architectures.
- IaC & Configuration Tools: Strong proficiency in Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure provisioning, alongside Ansible or Packer for configuration management.
- CI/CD & Scripting: Practical experience building automation pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions, paired with scripting skills in Bash or Python.
- Observability & Monitoring: Proven experience setting up metrics, logs, and alerts using CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Operating Systems & Web Technologies: Solid foundation in Linux administration, serverless architectures, and RESTful API Gateways.
Education & Preferred Certifications (Bonus)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (UG) or Master’s degree (PG) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications: AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified Developer, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
