Responsible for client’s software architecture design. Serve as SME for the designated technology stack. Act as primary client contact for technical aspects of new technology evaluation. Design and architect network health forecast models, telemetry options, performance monitoring, failure prediction, workflow, & configuration management systems. Supervise development methodology, & review & approve final submitted code. Propose & provide technical guidance in software design process, including data modeling, data repository design, & data transformation. Provide technical guidance on the feasibility of new network management software, with consideration for its ability to scale up to meet future needs. Design, develop, & implement technology platforms to build application prototypes for management review. Develop sprint schedules and guide discussions during development sprints. Guide the team on best practices in software development, including the acquisition of test data, access to appropriate support systems & necessary infrastructure to meet client demands. Provide guidance on all major technical issues spanning multiple technology stacks, serving as client partner. Provide expert guidance on various industry best practices of process management, including ITIL, Six Sigma, & their practical implementation in a variety of industries. Design & development of specialized, enterprise-level software scripts, which are used for level 3 or 4 administration of complex communication networks involving millions of users. Design, develop, & deliver software for complex IT systems management & data management of critical & large datasets across various software development methodologies. Work across multiple teams, managing respective software deliverables concurrently. Design, develop, configure & implement various enterprise network management software & other network & systems management software across the network, server, application, security & services layers. Design & develop security protocols by thoroughly assessing access requirements. Ensure cyber security compliance when handling sensitive data. Design, develop, customize & support advanced web-based programs & applications for complex information management systems. Synthesize functional requirements into technical requirements. Plan, design, execute, & test client disaster recovery process & procedures. Responsible for seamless failover of supported applications to backup environments while meeting agreed service level agreements (SLA). Understand & develop cross-functional integrations to enable complex software applications to share & use data while maintaining data integrity. Supervise code updates from junior developers & control commit functions for the repository. Define data warehousing needs & develop data modeling & large data management technologies to support full life-cycle system development. Enable automation of repeatable actions using models to determine system behavior under altered conditions, improving performance. Work with the following: IBM Tivoli Netcool OMNIbus, WebGUI, Webtop, and Netcool Impact; Netcool Operations Insight (NOI), IBM Tivoli Network Manager (ITNM), and IBM Tivoli Monitoring (ITM); Tivoli Business Service Manager (TBSM) and ITIL Foundation; Python, Perl Scripting, Shell, and Java; SNMP, JazzSM, and IBM Tivoli Common Reporting (TCR); IBM Db2, Oracle, MySQL, and Informix; Splunk and Resolve. Other similar duties as assigned. M-F; 40 hrs/week. $180,000/year. Require Master’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent and 6 years’ experience in the job offered or any occupation in which the required experience was gained.
